Dr Olumide Ojo

Olumide (better known as ‘Mide’) graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2005 with a distinction in Restorative Dentistry. He spent a year working in hospitals as an Oral Surgery Senior House Officer to further improve his surgical skills. He has since worked in general dental practices in London before joining the team at Ten Dental.

Mide always strives to build rapport with his patients, taking time to explain treatments and discuss all options available. His calm manner helps to quickly put patients at ease.

He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from smile makeovers to complex surgical extractions. Mide takes pride in restoring confidence in dental-phobic patients, including offering IV sedation to overcome any dental anxieties. He is also trained to provide facial aesthetic treatments with Botox and dermal fillers.

Mide has a keen interest in the latest cutting edge dental techniques and regularly attends various courses across the UK to advance his knowledge. Dr Devin Vaghela

Devin read dentistry at Bristol University. Following graduation in 2005 he worked at the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery unit at Torbay Hospital before entering general practice.

He has since focused on aesthetic and restorative aspects of dentistry, developing an interest in short-term tooth alignment procedures and in cosmetic and functional corrections including jaw joint problems and how these relate to problems with teeth, in dental sleep medicine and anti-snoring devices, and in the treatment of tooth wear as a result of erosion and grinding habits.

He is committed to ongoing postgraduate education and has trained under some of the foremost opinion leaders in dentistry, both locally and internationally.

Devin holds membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and has obtained postgraduate certification in advanced aesthetic dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL.

He also holds memberships of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry, The British Society for Dental Sleep Medicine, The British and American Academy’s Cosmetic Dentistry and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

Dr Apostolos Bozis

Apostolos graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1996. After a year in the Greek air force where he served as a dental surgeon, he took up a full time general practitioner position in East Anglia.

In 2001 he decided to pursue his interest in endodontics (root canal therapy) and in 2003 completed a Masters of Science Degree in Endodontics at the prestigious Guys Hospital of London.

It’s no secret that the mere mention of root canal therapy strikes fear into the bravest of hearts. But in fact it’s not nearly so bad as its image suggests. Apostolos’s unique talent is in not only providing an exceptional standard of treatment, without any pain, but in making his patients feel completely relaxed and at ease. With his reassuring, gentle approach he’s even helped phobic patients overcome a longstanding fear of the dentist.

Apostolos also works as a Specialist Associate at the Royal London Hospital and in private practice. He thoroughly enjoys the challenge of solving difficult endodontic cases.

As an active member of the British Society of Endodontics, he’s a great believer in continuous education and is always attending conferences to ensure he continues his professional development and keeps up to date with the latest innovations in endodontics.

Jaime Brain

After completing his initial studies at Cardiff University, Jaime undertook his training as a clinical dental technician at George Brown College in Toronto and the Royal College of Surgeons in London

For more than 15 years, Jaime has been working with dentures and he takes enormous satisfaction from seeing the difference which his work makes to the every day lives of his patients.  He has a large number of happy patients who can attest to his skill in tailoring dentures for patients who had previously struggled to wear them comfortably.  Jaime works closely with his patients to provide a variety of solutions and choices; from full or partial dentures to implant supported overdentures or more fixed options.

Jaime also recognises the importance of continued education and regularly attends seminars and courses in order to further hone his skills and stay on top of the latest developments in his area of expertise.

Dr Clare Glesson

Consultant Oral Surgeon GDC: 103277

Clare studied at the University of Bristol and graduated in 2006 with prizes in oral surgery, oral medicine, dental materials and endodontics. Following completion of vocation training in Wiltshire, Clare undertook several senior house officer jobs in maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and oral surgery. In 2009, Clare decided to move to London to pursue a career and specialist training in oral surgery and was appointed as a Walport Clinical Academic Fellow. Clare has been undertaking her specialist training at both Guy’s and King’s College hospitals for the past 4 years and has been trained by some of the most eminent oral surgeons in the UK. Alongside her clinical work, Clare is also completing a PhD in tissue engineering and aims to develop the ideal synthetic bone grafting material.

Clare has a gentle approach to oral surgery and particularly enjoys working with anxious patients. She can complete treatment under local anaesthetic or with the addition of intravenous sedation when appropriate.

Outside of dentistry, Clare is an accomplished rider and having completed the London Marathon this year is in search of her next challenge!

Dr Annika Patel

Specialist Orthodonist GDC: 153541

Annika qualified with both her undergraduate Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and postgraduate Masters in Orthodontics from King’s College London.

She undertook further training in maxillofacial and oral surgery and paediatric dentistry before embarking on her specialist training in Orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. This allowed her to treat both children and adults, requiring multidisciplinary care from other specialties. In addition Annika has treated a number of adult patients requiring the diagnosis and treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

Her Masters research has recently been presented at a Medical World Congress in Maui, Hawaii and is due to be published in the European Journal of Orthodontics. She has also been invited to speak both regionally and internationally, in Austria and Italy.

Annika believes that orthodontics is where Art meets Science and out of work she has a keen interest in the History of Art, painting and attending current exhibitions. She enjoys annual ski trips, playing squash and making the most of life.

Dr Parmjit Singh

Dr Singh qualified from the University of Newcastle in 2001 and then moved to London to work in a general practice and at three separate undergraduate teaching hospitals. He began his Specialist Orthodontist training in Essex, London and Suffolk. Parmjit is currently trained up to consultant level, which happens to be the highest level for a UK orthodontist and has worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a locum consultant.

His special areas of interest are adult orthodontics (he has completed an MSc in Smile Aesthetics) along with treating patients who suffer from severe dentofacial deformity and hypodontia (developmentally missing teeth). He is also a qualified Invisalign and Incognito provider.

Outside of the surgery he also performs duties for the Royal College of Surgeons Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy and for the Royal College’s Licence in Dental Surgery as an examiner. Parmjit also examines on the Dental Nurse’s National Examining Board.

He is passionate about teaching and has been awarded the Certificate in Learning and Teaching. Dr Singh has also been widely published in international and national journals, presenting his findings both abroad and throughout the UK.

He likes to spend his time in Spain and London, and enjoys DIY and cycling in his spare time. He one day hopes to earn a pilot’s license and is currently learning Spanish.

Dr Ilias Marinopoulos

Dr. Marinopoulos performs work that has the hallmarks of class. He is internationally renowned for his extraordinary ability to make use of the more difficult techniques involved in cosmetic dentistry.

Having graduated from the University of Athens Dental School in 2002, he has enjoyed years in some of the most respected dental clinics in London which no doubt contribute to his always developing skill set.

Before coming to London, Ilias spent three years in a military hospital. This allowed him to work on many extreme cases and therefore fine-tune his basic dental techniques before moving on to study Orthodontics. He did this in Aarhus and then later in Sweden, where in 2010 he graduated from Sahlgrenska Academy with a distinction.

Dr Ektor Grammatopoulos

In 2004, Ektor left the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. After completing further training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry, he began specialist orthodontic training in 2007. In 2010 he undertook his consultant training. Ektor currently works part time as an Orthodontics Consultant at Guy’s and St. Thomas’s Hospitals, as well as working part time in specialist orthodontic practice. As part of his role as consultant, he supervises and teaches postgraduate students who are training to become orthodontists and orthodontic consultants. His own work includes non-extraction treatment, optimal smile aesthetics and providing excellent orthodontic solutions for adults. When working in the hospital, he is involved in the treatment of multi-disciplinary and complex dental cases.

The work Ektor has done has won him a number of notable awards from many renowned professional dental societies including the British Orthodontic Society, the European Orthodontic Society, British Society of Dental Research and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. One of his most distinguished awards is the European Orthodontic Society W.J.B Houston Research Award.

Ektor has experience in the treatment of a wide range of complex cases, using a number of contemporary techniques such as lingual brace systems and mini dental implants.

In his spare time, Ektor leads an active lifestyle and enjoys playing tennis, running marathons and half-marathons, and partaking in water sports such as water skiing and wakeboarding.

Dr Nikos Lygidakis

Paediatric Dentist GDC: 211645

Nikos currently works at the Eastman Dental Hospital Paediatric Department providing specialist treatment for young children and adolescents alongside his work with the Ten Dental group.

He graduated from Sheffield University in 2011 and is currently undergoing a three year clinical doctorate in paediatric dentistry at the Eastman dental hospital.

In the past he has worked at the Oral and Maxillofacial department of the John Radcliffe hospital and completed the prestigious MJDF examination at the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as working in general practice.

He is interested in academic study and research and regularly attends paediatric dentistry conferences in the UK and Europe.

Nikos has had research publications in international renowned journals and poster presentations in international conferences.

Most importantly Nikos loves working with children and is interested in managing anxious children and making them feel comfortable and is experienced in dealing with dental trauma as well as other childhood dental conditions.

Outside work he regularly plays football, goes to the gym and enjoys travelling.

Dr James Littler

James graduated from the University of Bristol in 2008 and then went onto to practice for a number of years by the golden beaches of Sandbanks.

He believes one of the most important aspects of treating people is to effectively communicate and explain all options in a non-jargon way. This keeps patients well informed and involved with their treatment which is of utmost importance, together with building trust and a rapport over a long period of time. He is also very adept at converting phobic patients into happy regular attenders.

James enjoys all aspects of dentistry but finds improving people’s self- confidence by minimally invasive dentistry the most rewarding.

James dedicates much time to post graduate education including the yearlong ‘Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Course’ by Advanced Dental Seminars. He is trained in aligning teeth in a cosmetically focussed way using the latest techniques. He also is trained in improving facial aesthetics with the use of anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. He is planning on completing the prestigious Dawson Academy course on advanced dentistry later this year.

He is a member of the British Dental Association, a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a full member of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontics. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and is a big foodie always in the search of new culinary experiences.

Dr Monica Neil

Monica is a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry. She currently works as a full-time Specialist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and also provides specialist high quality dental treatment for children and adolescents at Ten Dental.

Monica completed her Specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, London, passing her Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She has also passed an MSc in Paediatric Dentistry with Merit from King’s College, London which has helped to ensure she is providing evidence-based dentistry to an optimal standard.

Her research has been published in internationally renowned journals including ten publications in the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry and she has been invited to lecture on her paediatric dental research across the world including Korea, Germany, Egypt and China. She has won multiple national and regional prizes including two prizes awarded by the British Dental Association.

Monica has an interest in managing children who are anxious, have behavioural problems or special needs and can provide Inhalation Sedation effectively to help patients relax if this is required.

She is experienced in managing dental trauma, effectively restoring traumatised anterior teeth using paediatric endodontics. She routinely provides specialist care for children with medical problems, including those with developmental anomalies including hypoplastic teeth or hypodontia.

Dr Shiraz Khan

Dr. Shiraz Khan graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2013. Having successfully completed foundation training and winning several prizes he continued with his professional development working as a Dental Core Trainee in Restorative dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and Paediatric Dentistry/Orthodontics East Surrey, Croydon University and Guys & St. Thomas hospitals. Albeit early stage, being invited to lecture to young dentists around the country. Progressing in his career in additional post-graduate qualifications and building a portfolio of achievements means that Shiraz is nothing short of an aspirational individual. He invests time into his career development and experience, regularly sharing with like-minded professionals.

Shiraz takes pride and time in ensuring that all of his patients feel at ease when visiting the practice and allowing for all options to be explored and discussed to provide tailored treatment plans for those patients.

Shiraz enjoys providing aesthetic and restorative solutions to patients, making sure a minimally-invasive approach to any cosmetic dentistry is always provided. He has recently been invited to become part of the fellowship program/lecturer for Voco a leading material manufacturer for contemporary dentistry.

Dr Federico Tinti

After qualifying as a dentist in Italy in 1998, Federico went on to achieve post graduate qualifications in periodontology both in New York and London (Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’).

Federico’s specialised area is the supporting structures and tissues around the teeth – the bone, gum, and ligaments that hold the teeth in place. He is a highly experienced periodontists and has limited his practice to periodontology since acquiring his Masters of Science in 2003.

Federico has been part of the Ten team since 2003 and has treated many of our patients and some complicated cases with excellent results. He believes it’s important to look at each patient as an individual and to find the course treatment that best suits them. In every case, his approach is to completely involve his patients in the decision-making process at every stage of their treatment.

Dr. Sahil Patel

Sahil graduated from the University of Bristol, achieving merits in Restorative dentistry, Orthodontics, and Paediatrics. After enjoying a year in general practice in Wadebridge, Cornwall, he returned to London to pursue his interest in aesthetic dentistry. This stemmed from dental training, where he developed a passion for cosmetic improvement and orthodontics, which he continues to dedicate extensive postgraduate education.

He was recently shortlisted for an award from the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) as well as winning the W&H Clinical Case prize from the British Society for Restorative Dentistry. He now serves on the BACD Young Membership Committee, which allows him to maintain a progressive approach to dentistry, such that he can be sure to explore all the options to give you the smile you desire.

Outside of dentistry, Sahilhas committed himself to Performing Arts since the age of 10. He has choreographed and performed for various organisations including the BBC Proms, and now continues to train in competitive Latin and Ballroom Dance. Through the Royal Naval Reserves, he has also appreciated an introduction into scuba diving, skydiving, and cross-country skiing.

DR YUNSUK NATHANAEL YANG, BDS, MSc

Nathanael (also known as Nate) graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff in 2006. Since then he has attended numerous post-graduate courses in the UK and abroad to further his knowledge and skills. With a passion for providing exceptional quality dentistry, he is fully committed in keeping up to date with the latest dental techniques.

Having finished his 3 years of Masters of Science degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Manchester in 2012, he is confident in providing the best and most advanced treatment for his patients. Nate has completed the full Master Programme in aesthetic fixed prosthodontics with the world renowned Dr. Mauro Fradeani in Italy. He has also finished the American Dawson Academy curriculum which is renowned for teaching complete comprehensive dentistry.

Nate is a Dawson Academy Alumni, and a member of the British Society of Occlusal Studies.

Nate understands that being at the dentist may be an anxious experience, therefore he treats everyone with empathy and care. Many nervous patients are put at ease by his gentle and friendly manner.

Dr. Zohaib Ali

Zohaib is an experienced clinician in the fields of facial aesthetics and dentistry. Having qualified in 2009, he has completed numerous postgraduate qualifications, most recently a Master’s programme at the University of Manchester. After spending a number of years in general dental practice, Zohaib completed furthering training in oral and maxillofacial surgery which served as an excellent foundation before taking the next natural step into facial aesthetics.

Aside from treating his own patients, teaching others is also something he takes very seriously and frequently commits himself to. Along the way, Zohaib also completed research, had work published in a major dental journal and attended countless courses to build his skills. In addition, he is currently undertaking a specialist training pathway in prosthodontics at King’s College London whilst working from Guy’s Hospital in central London.

Dr. Evdokia Chasioti,

Evdokia is a graduate the Dental School of the Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki, in Greece. She received her Master of Dental Science in
Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the prestigious University of Medicine
and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) where she
served as the Chief Resident of the department and she obtained her Masters
of Dental Science in Periodontology with distinctions. She was awarded with
Dr. Michael J. Deasy’s Endowed Scholarship for her commendable academic
performance. She is registered with the General Dental Council and she
is officially recognized by the General Dental Council UK, as a Specialist in
Periodontology.

In 2013, Evdokia received one of the highest recognitions of achievement
afforded by the specialty of Periodontology and became a Diplomate of
the American Board of Periodontology, completing successfully a rigorous
examination, covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment,
including dental implants.

Evdokia is committed to practicing the highest level of dentistry based on her
diverse expertise in numerous periodontal and implant procedures. Additionally,
she is an international member of the American Academy of Periodontology
and a member of the British Society of Periodontology and the International

Raquel Beckford

Raquel graduated from the University Of Technology, Jamaica with a Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism Hotel & Resort Management in 2002.

After a period of working in this field in the UK, she decided to pursue her interest in dentistry and applied for a position to train as a Dental Nurse at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust, where she successfully graduated with Merit in 2009. Raquel then went on to practice Dental Nursing at a well-known practice on Wimpole Street, London.

Her desire to progress even further in dentistry prompted her application and acceptance for the 3 year course in Dental Hygiene & Therapy once again at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust. Raquel successfully graduated with Diplomas in Dental Hygiene & Therapy in 2012 and now practices in London and the Home Counties.

Raquel is very interested in all aspects of dentistry and has a keen interest in her patients’ oral hygiene education & promotion and focuses strongly on oral disease prevention. In her spare time, Raquel likes to travel. She also loves good food, with a preference for spicy Asian foods. Music is also one of Raquel’s passions and she particularly enjoys listening to jazz.

Violeta Maftei

Violeta gained her dental nurse qualification with NEBDN in 2010 and has continued to extend and hone her skills; gaining a Treatment Co-ordinator certificate in 2012 and one in Dental Radiography in 2014.

She combines a professional and respectful manner towards both patients and team members with an energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude which have made her an invaluable member of the Ten Dental team. She recently won the Best Team Member, South award at the 2015 Private Dentistry Awards.

Eliana Bridy

Eliana has been a dental nurse since 2007. She gained her dental nursing qualification in 2012 and has subsequently completed her diploma in radiology. Eliana has been working exclusively as an implant nurse since 2013 and her experience and excellent chair-side manner is highly valued amongst our patients.

Outside of work, Eliana enjoys catching up on the latest movies, playing badminton and spending time with her young daughter.

Laura Scougall

Laura has been a Dental nurse since 2012 qualifying with the NEBDN in 2014 and joined Ten Dental shortly afterwards.

Her special interest in Orthodontics has led her to become Head Orthodontic Nurse at Ten Dental Balham. Here cheerful nature and love for learning has lead her to mentoring the new nurses who start with the practice. She will soon be taking part in an impression-taking course for beginners so she can aspire to treat patients directly and to take impressions under the prescription of a registered dentist or clinical dental technician.

In her spare time Laura enjoys Health and Fitness, socialising with friends and family, and has recently started to learn French.

Marie Williams

Marie started dentistry over 16 years ago as a trainee dental nurse and is registered under the verified competency scheme. She gained most of experience working in both NHS and Private practices. During her career as a Dental Nurse she has gained in-depth knowledge of specialist areas which include Periodontics and Endodontics.

She is keen to develop her skills further in a specialist of dentistry. Marie prides herself in doing her job well and is eager to learn.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, going to church and pending time with  her nephews and her little puppy Fifi.

Jessica Karolina Miranda Ruiz

Jessica has been a dental nurse since May 2012, she gained her dental nursing qualification in January 2016, currently she is completing her diploma in radiology and impressions taking.
Jessica has a warm character and confidence which gives her the ability to relate well to people including children and those who feel uncomfortable in clinical environments. She always has the patient’s welfare at heart. Jessica is also committed to assist and support the dental clinicians to achieve a high standard of dental care with her positive and flexible approach.
Her most favourite area of dentistry is dental implantology.

Outside of work Jessica likes to play and watch football, on her relaxing times she prefer knitting or listening to latin music.

Samimeh Hosseini Zavareh

Dental nurse GDC: 235460

Samimeh started dental nursing in 2009 and gained her dental nurse qualification with NEBDN in 2012.

She has experience of working in both NHS and private practices . She developed her dental skills further while working with Specialist Endodontists ,Periodontists and Orthodontists and continues to gain more experience as an implant nurse.

Outside of work Samimeh enjoy traveling ,reading ,running and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Martin Wanendeya

Implant Surgeon

As well as carrying out his own surgical work, Martin tutors and trains other dentists. He is currently a tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons teaches all aspects of implantology. In addition to this, he is a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology and teaches on the Implant Restoration Course.

Dr Nikhil Sisodia

Implant Surgeon

Alongside his own implant practice, Nik is a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology, a study club director for the International Team in Implantology and teaches on the Implant Restoration Course. He is also a key opinion leader for Dentsply Implants, assisting them in testing the viability and efficacy of their new products.
